The guy I got it from seemed knowledgeable, and this is what he wrote. Indonesian Keris with a carved handle and a brass fitting between the handle and the blade. The blade is made of layered steel. The scabbard is made of carved hardwood, overlaid with a brass outer sheath. This keris is dated to the late 19th century. The blade is very sharp. The brass handle cover has a few very minor dents and is very shiny. It has one tiny blemish that might polish out. The wooden scabbard end looks hand carved inside so the hilt end of the blade fits inside. The brass fitting between the blade and the blade handle is loose. That's about all I know. We will package it carefully, and insure it. The item "Indonesian Keris Dagger, Carved Handle, Brass Cover, Layered Steel, 19th Century" is in sale since Sunday, April 26, 2020.
