Blade length is about a 32nd under 7. It has about 28 teeth per inch.

Overall length including the handle is about 12-7/8. It features the very unusual shape to the blade end as can be seen.

The back and ferrule are brass, and the handle is rosewood. The blade is only about. 022 thick, and the teeth don't have any set. The entire saw only weighs about 3.4 ounces on my postal scale.

I would guess that this dates to the mid 1800's, but that is just a guess. Condition is very good with some exceptions. There are some worn teeth mostly towards the front end of the blade, and the beginnings of a split in the ferrule. The brass back has some scratches and dings and some odd partial holes. The blade has one spot of rust and pitting, but is otherwise very good and appears to have been blued.

The handle has a variety of chips and dings, and one deep scratch. The lower edge of the blade has a gentle S shape when you sight down it. A great tool, I've never seen a blade with a shape similar to this one! I sell what I enjoy, and I collect antique woodworking tools and I enjoy photography! The queue is overflowing with tools right now, as they seem to be finding me faster than I can list them.

So please keep watching my postings as I have LOTS more to list! Searching my listings: I have lots to see! That will lead you to my extensive system of categories.

You might ask: How can I know when you start new listings? Descriptions, and auctions with pictures only of the left side because the right side was trashed. I come from the handshake school of doing business, and hopefully you are like me and understand what that means. What goes around, comes around. However, that doesn't mean that I won't make an occasional mistake.

Please don't ask, the answer is no. I package well, and have a great track record. I use the US Post Office for everything. Every year the US Postal Service raises rates in mid to late January, and this year is no exception.

So I wont do that for you, or to you. PACKAGING: Please check my feedback -- I package well. I hope someday I will meet some of you as we trudge the happy road of tool collecting!
