Osborne has been making quality tools since 1826. I believe this rare model was made in 1872 due to the "72" stamped into the brass in front of the trigger. This is a beautiful display piece or use it as originally intended. They made things to last back then and this is a fine example. This one is a rare model with a machined indent and securing screw on the handle's top side above the mounted gauge.
This space was for another piece that I could not identify. The condition of this tool is used in excellent Antique condition with wonderful patina. See pictures for condition and configuration.
