British Army Fairbairn Sykes Commando fighting knife, 2nd pattern "Presentation" version. Genuine Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife. Nowill & Sons, a division of Sheffield Knives.

Knurled brass handle with polished blade. Please note: This is a "Presentation" version and so the edges are not sharpened.

Stamped into the guard is the famous "Broad Arrow" British Army acceptance mark proving this to be a genuine British Army / MOD issue item. On the other side is stamped J. Nowill & Sons, Sheffield England.

7-inch carbon steel blade, polished. Carbon steel can oxidize so we recommend inspecting the blade occasionally & polishing it when necessary to prevent oxidation.

Overall length of knife approximately 12 inches. Comes with genuine top quality thick leather sheath with reinforced steel tip and tabs. This pattern was issued to Army Commando's, members of the Parachute Regiment and the LRDG (Forerunner of the SAS) during WWII.

This is a brand-new production knife. In 2019 a member of the British SBS (Special Boat Service) is reported to have taken on two ISIS fighters with his Fairbairn-Sykes Commando knife during house to house fighting when his weapon was knocked out of his hands.
