If handles are pulled apart, then we will replace the product. Our product has handmade qualities and unique characteristics. Leather sheaths absorb moisture from the air and tend to rustle blades if not stored properly. When you are finished with the blade, place it on the leather sheath and put gun oil, coconut oil, WD-40 or similar protective coating on the blade and store. Damascus steel, 1095HC, 1084HC and D2 can rust quickly if not properly lubricated.
