We bought this knife at a Philippe Starck design boutique shop while on vacation in Paris about 16 years ago. In the intervening years, my wife kept it in her handbag mainly as a souvenir so it's never been "used".

This is most assuredly an authentic Laguiole knife as you will realize on reading the specifics of this knife below and inspecting the photos of it. The photos document that the knife and all of its components are in brand new condition, period.

There are NO signs of any use on it. The olive wood handle is impeccable as are all of the brass bolsters that fasten it to the frame. Shepherd's Cross appears in the form of brass pins inserted in the handle. Bee is fitted atop the spring. Some beautiful scrolling is engraved in the frame. The perfect-condition blade is stainless steel and 10 centimeters long. The closeup photo documents the words engraved at its base. The total length of the knife with blade extended is 8 inches. The knife is no lightweight. It weighs 80 grams, further proof of its authenticity.
